A virtual squishy you can actually squish
A virtual squishy is a squishy toy that lives on a screen instead of a shelf: a soft 3D shape that gives under your finger, slowly comes back, and makes the small sounds a real one makes. Build A Squishy is one you make yourself — free, in your browser, with nothing to download.
Make a squishyWhat makes it feel real
The body is a real 3D object, not a picture that changes. Press it and it dents where you pressed; let go and it jiggles back. Pinch it with two fingers and it stretches between them. Each finish behaves like its material — a jelly wobbles, a matte stays put, a clear one shows the whole inside — and each one sounds different too, because the sound is made from what the squishy is, not played from a list.
What you can make
Every squishy starts from five choices: a shape, a colour, a finish, an inside and a few bits. Today that is 77 shapes you can earn, 81 colours, 34 finishes across 5 material families, 42 insides and 31 bits — which is more combinations than anyone will ever make. See every shape. New ones arrive as weekly gifts, and a few are only ever won through a challenge.
Then open it up
A squishy that is finished is not finished with you: it can be frozen and cracked, melted, stretched into a balloon, or opened to let the inside spill out and become slime you can play with. All of it is quiet, slow and a little satisfying, which is the point.
No download, no mess
It runs in Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox on a laptop, a phone or a tablet, and once you have visited once it keeps working with no internet at all. There are no accounts, no ads and nothing to buy to keep playing.
On iPhone or iPad
The same toy is also a native app, with smoother squishing and gentle haptics you can feel. If you are on an iPhone or iPad, get Build A Squishy on the App Store, free.
