A real 3D squishy, simulated live
Every squishy here is a real 3D soft body, simulated as you touch it — not a video, not a flat picture that stretches. Press it and it squashes and bulges at the sides; let go and it springs back, jiggles, and settles. It runs live in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer, and in the iPhone and iPad app.
Try the simulatorWhat the simulation does
Each squishy is a 3D shape — one of 77 — with a soft-body model on top: a squeeze compresses it and pushes the sides out, a poke dents it and the dent recovers, a stretch pulls it long, a jiggle wobbles through it and dies away. Different materials feel different: a dense gel barely gives, a super-soft one slumps, a memory foam recovers slowly. There are 27 ways to touch one.
Materials and light
There are 34 finishes, from clear jelly you can see into to milky, frosted, pearly, shimmering and glossy ones, lit by a small studio of lights so a clear squishy really looks like gel and a pearl finish really shifts as it turns. Inside, 42 kinds of filling — stars, flakes, pearls, foam, swirls, jellies — float in the body and move when it moves.
Open it up
Cut a squishy open and the cross-section is real: you see the inside you chose, and the slime comes out. Freeze one solid, crack the ice with a poke, and it shatters. Slow everything down to watch how it moves.
Where it runs
On the web it uses WebGL in any modern browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge — on Windows, Mac, Chromebook, Android and iPhone. The iPhone and iPad app is built on Metal, the same squishies with haptics under your finger. Nothing is uploaded; the simulation happens on your device.
See every shape, hear how the sounds are made, or go straight to making one.
