Build A Squishy

About Build A Squishy

Build A Squishy is made by Arden and her dad, in Georgia, USA. It started as a toy for Arden and grew into a full creator-collector sandbox. Arden plays every version before anyone else does, and a lot of what is in here started as something she asked for. The company behind it is Gladio LLC, an independent family studio.

What it is

A calm, hands-busy toy. You design a squishy — shape, colour, finish, what floats inside, a few bits — watch it form, and then squeeze, poke, stretch and jiggle it. Every material gives differently under your finger and sounds different too. It runs free in the browser and as a native app for iPhone and iPad.

Why it exists

Most games for kids are loud: timers, coins, streaks, things that run out. This one is built to be the opposite — quiet, slow, a little satisfying, and finished whenever you are. There is nothing to lose for putting it down and nothing nagging you to come back. When you do come back, there is a new gift squishy waiting every Monday, the same one for everyone, so friends can compare.

The promises

No ads. No accounts. No chat. No trading with strangers — the Trading Floor's traders are characters in the game. Nothing a child makes reaches anyone else unless they choose to send it, and a sent squishy carries only its recipe, never a name. There is one optional purchase, Squishy Deluxe, behind a parental gate, and the free game never asks for it. The full policy is on the privacy page, and there is a plainer version for parents and teachers.
